Frances Hunter is a Pharmacist, Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, Mother of Four and Hypothyroid patient.
Graduating from Cardiff University with a Masters Degree in Pharmacy in 2004, Frances began a successful and varied career as a Community Pharmacist. Over the years, Frances began to realise that despite the huge advances in modern medicine, many of her patients were still not enjoying life in good health and vitality; many were desperately searching for that ‘magic pill’ to resolve their complaints.
Frances’ own battle with hypothyroidism began in 2014 and fuelled a period of extensive research as she tried to establish the root cause of her illness. It soon became clear that digestion and nutrition had a huge role to play in the onset of disease and Frances embarked on a diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy, graduating from The Natural Healthcare College in 2020.
Frances is passionate about helping patients understand how their relationship with food and the lifestyle they lead can impact on their health and enjoyment of life. She will listen to what you have to say, seek to discover the root causes behind your symptoms and support you on a pathway to resolve them. More importantly, Frances will empower you to take charge of your own health.
Frances is a member of the Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA), the General Naturopathic Council (GNC) and the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). She has met the required standards determined by the relevant registering bodies and is committed to maintaining her knowledge and skills with recognised continuing professional development.
